From there, players have to travel through the the Ishimura and will actually observe a number of events from both the movie and comic as they occur. The story starts off with players evacuating from the planet to the supposed safety of the Ishimura, with the Ishimura firing on the shuttle because the evacuees won't take "no" for an answer. Players assume the role of detective Nathan McNiel or Ishimura security officer Gabe Weller. The game is set around the time of the comic book and film, and will feature events from both. At EA's E3 booth, Dead Space Extraction is on display, and while the game is technically a rail shooter, it seems like a strong addition to the series that helps further out the universe's backstory. Dead Space is one of those games that blew us away from get-go, and most of its tie-ins were impressive, too, (aside from a certain animated movie).
